support@midibraid.comMac and MIDI first checks
- Confirm the intended MIDI input is connected and available.
- Confirm the relevant Session and Voice Set are active.
- Check that the expected voice positions are enabled and routed to the correct output/channel.
- Use the MIDI Inspector to confirm incoming and outgoing activity where helpful.
- If a note remains sounding unexpectedly, use Panic and record the exact playing sequence before changing the setup.
iPad Remote connection
- Keep MIDIBraid running on the Mac and MIDIBraid Remote open on the iPad.
- Allow Local Network access if iPadOS requests it.
- Choose the intended Mac and complete the trust/pairing step.
- If the Remote reconnects, it should repair its display from the current Mac state rather than changing the sound.
- If discovery fails, restart the connection workflow before rebuilding your performance setup.
Before a live performance
Test the complete chain you intend to use: MIDI controller, Mac, audio host/DAW, MIDIBraid, iPad Remote if required, sustain pedal and any external controllers. Pre-release software should be exercised in the actual rehearsal configuration before performance use.
